Dr. Bares Award je mezinárodní ocenění udělované za nejlepší experimentální nebo klinické práce v gastroenterologii a hepatologii. Soutěž vyhlašujeme od roku 1993, zpravidla ve dvouletých cyklech.
V roce 2005 byla k příležitosti uctění památky jejího zakladatele, dlouholetého generálního ředitele naší společnosti a významného příznivce gastroenterologie Dr. Rudolfa O. Barese, pojmenována Dr. Bares Award.
Prestižní ocenění medicínského výzkumu
V kategorii Publication oceňujeme publikované vědecko-výzkumné práce z oblasti gastroenterologie a hepatologie. Přihlášené publikace hodnotí nezávislá mezinárodní komise odborníků, která vybere k ocenění tři nejlepší, a to na základě novátorství a významu pro obor gastroenterologie do budoucna.
V roce 2018 jsme v kategorii Idea ocenili také inovativní myšlenky, které mohou na základě teoretického předpokladu, preklinického nebo klinického výzkumu, individuálního pozorování nebo zkušeností s použitím „off-label“ vést k novému použití již existujících účinných látek.
