On March 7, 2026, the International Committee of the Dr. Bares Award (DBA) held its final session, carefully reviewed all submissions and carried out a detailed evaluation and voting process.

On March 7, 2026, the International Committee of the Dr. Bares Award (DBA) held its final session. This prestigious awards program, sponsored by PRO.MED.CS and by the company’s owners, the Bares family, reflects a long-standing commitment to supporting scientific research in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology, which contributes to improving diagnosis, treatment, and patient care worldwide. 

The independent international committee composed of leading experts in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology was formed, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Goda Sadauskaitė, MD (Latvia), Assoc. Prof.  Mária Szantová, MD, Ph.D. (Slovakia), Prof. Venera Rakhmetova, MD (Kazakhstan), Prof. Abror Khamraev, MD (Uzbekistan), Prof. Marek Hartleb, MD (Poland), and Assoc. Prof. Pavel Drastich MD, Ph.D. (Czech Republic) carefully reviewed all submissions and carried out a detailed evaluation and voting process.
